My obsession with music goes back as far as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are my parents singing to me or dancing to music in the kitchen every evening. The first song I ever claimed as my favourite was ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ by Kylie Minogue (which came out the same year I was born).  Since then my tastes have broadened to span generations and genres from soul and jazz to reggae and rap and everything in between. I’d pretty much listen to anything – music is like a time machine to me which allows me to relive my favourite memories and discover worlds I wasn’t around to see. Also, I like looking into how music can have an influence on pop culture, the arts and sometimes even politics and how that in turn affects music.
